As a Voice Performer, you will contribute your unique regional South African English accent to train AI models, enabling them to understand and generate speech that authentically reflects the rich linguistic landscape of South Africa, enhancing AI's relatability and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
Record a wide range of English speech prompts, specifically focusing on your native South African English regional accent (e.g., General SA English, Cape Coloured, Zulu-English).
Ensure accurate pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm characteristic of your specific accent and region.
Maintain a natural, conversational delivery across various script types, from casual dialogue to formal narration.
Perform self-quality checks on recorded audio for clarity, consistency, and absence of extraneous noise.
Utilize personal recording equipment to produce clean, high-fidelity audio files.
Follow detailed guidelines regarding emotional tone, pacing, and specific phonetic requirements.
Ideal Qualifications
Native speaker of South African English with a distinct and consistent regional accent.
Prior experience in voice-over, podcasting, or any form of professional audio recording is beneficial.
Excellent vocal clarity and articulation within your accent.
Access to a quiet, acoustically treated recording environment and quality audio equipment (e.g., condenser microphone, audio interface).
