Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI outputs related to tax disputes, IRS audits, administrative appeals, and tax court proceedings for strategic soundness and legal accuracy.
Design complex scenarios involving tax controversies, including examinations, collections, and penalty abatements, to test AI's reasoning.
Identify instances where AI misinterprets IRS procedural rules, fails to identify key arguments, or provides inadequate defense strategies.
Evaluate legal briefs, IRS notices, and tax court opinions with expert insights on effective controversy resolution.
Provide detailed feedback on AI's ability to synthesize facts, apply relevant tax law, and formulate persuasive arguments in a contentious context.
Ideal Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5• years of dedicated experience in tax controversy, representing clients before the IRS or in tax court.
Deep expertise in IRS examination procedures, collection due process, and tax litigation strategies.
Proven track record of successfully resolving complex tax disputes.
Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills to dissect intricate factual patterns and legal arguments.
Strong written communication skills to provide clear, actionable feedback and create detailed test cases.
