Excel Modelling Specialist
Job Description
Build and evaluate complex spreadsheet solutions for business and analytical tasks. Make the calculations, assumptions and automation clear enough for another analyst to check.
What you will do
• Create financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses and operational dashboards.
• Use advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query and VBA or macros.
• Clean and structure datasets, then produce clear reports and visualisations.
• Document model assumptions, logic and methods reproducibly.
Required background
• Expert-level Excel skills covering advanced formulas, Power Query, pivot tables and VBA.
• Professional experience delivering complex spreadsheet models or analytical tools.
• A bachelor’s or higher qualification in a relevant subject, such as mathematics, data science, accounting, finance or business.
• Attention to detail and independent analytical working skills.
Preferred background
• Financial modelling, FP&A or BI experience.
• Power BI, Solver or other Excel integrations.
• Python automation with openpyxl/xlwings or experience teaching spreadsheet skills.
Availability
• Remote, asynchronous assignments; indicative duration two to three weeks with five to 20 hours per week.
Pay and engagement
$63/hr
All amounts are in USD. The rate, task scope and schedule are agreed before work begins.
