Bilingual Psychiatrist
Job Description
Develop culturally informed psychiatric cases and evaluate clinical meaning across languages.
What you will do
• Create and assess psychiatric case studies and expert annotations.
• Write accurate assessments, treatment reasoning and documentation in English and the relevant language.
• Evaluate sensitive content using clinical ethics and confidentiality principles.
• Improve bilingual psychiatric communication and the methods used to assess model reasoning.
Required background
• Ability to contribute professional psychiatric judgment in bilingual case evaluation.
Preferred background
• An MD, MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, completed psychiatry residency and a valid medical license.
• Native fluency in the relevant language and advanced spoken/written English.
• Extensive assessment, treatment-planning and documentation experience in that language’s clinical context.
• Familiarity with Western and local psychiatric frameworks.
• Experience creating teaching/research cases, working across disciplines and making culturally sensitive ethical decisions.
Location and eligibility
• Language opportunities: Cantonese, Georgian, Indonesian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Malay, Russian, Tagalog or Vietnamese, paired with English. Expertise in one pair is sufficient; all languages are not required.
Availability
• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.
Pay and engagement
$105–$210/hr
