About this role
PHP still powers a huge share of the web, and modern PHP 8• with Laravel is a different language from the PHP AI assistants seem to remember. As a PHP / Laravel Developer for AI training, you will help AI generate modern, type-safe PHP that uses Laravel's conventions, queues, and ecosystem the way working PHP teams actually do.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate and evaluate PHP/Laravel instruction-response pairs across controllers, models, and queued jobs.
• Review AI-generated code for modern PHP 8• features (enums, readonly, attributes, match).
• Provide feedback on Eloquent relationships, query optimization, and N+1 detection.
• Validate AI handling of Laravel queues, scheduling, broadcasting, and Octane.
• Evaluate AI outputs for testing with PHPUnit and Pest.
• Identify common PHP pitfalls (loose typing, array shape errors, race conditions in queues).
Ideal Qualifications
• 6• years of professional PHP development, including 4• years with Laravel.
• Deep familiarity with PHP 8• features and modern PHP standards (PSR).
• Strong grasp of Eloquent, query builder, and database optimization.
• Experience with Laravel ecosystem packages (Horizon, Telescope, Sanctum, Nova).
• Comfort with Composer, Docker, and modern PHP deployment.
• Familiarity with Symfony components or other PHP frameworks is a plus.
