Pharmacy Benefit Procurement & Contracting Study
Job Description
IXO is conducting a paid online study with U.S. professionals involved in health-plan pharmacy-benefit decisions. The study examines how organizations select pharmacy benefit managers, manage those relationships and approach the contracts and benefit choices involved.
Participation
Complete a structured questionnaire independently, drawing on your direct professional experience. Topics include PBM selection and contracting, formulary decisions, specialty-pharmacy arrangements and ongoing relationship management. Submit the completed response within the timeline agreed for the study.
Eligible organizations and responsibilities
You must be based in the United States and work for a health plan or insurer, a provider-sponsored health plan owned by a health system, or a third-party administrator that makes its own PBM decisions.
Your role must include meaningful involvement in PBM decisions. Eligible routes include final selection authority, membership of the selection committee, strong influence over the decision or day-to-day management of the PBM relationship.
Relevant functions include medical leadership, pharmacy leadership, finance, procurement or supply chain, network/provider contracting, compliance or regulatory affairs, PBM contract/vendor management, clinical pharmacy programs and pharmacy operations. Managers or directors in finance, quality and contracting may also qualify when their responsibilities meet the decision-involvement requirement. A particular executive title is not required if the relevant authority or involvement is present.
Employees of PBMs, benefits consultants, brokers or advisers, and employers purchasing benefits for their own staff are excluded. Hospitals and health systems without their own health plan are also outside scope.
Study terms
Compensation is $150/study (one-time) USD after successful verification of the completed submission. This is a single participation payment, not an hourly rate. Approximately 25 minutes is an indicative planning estimate; IXO will confirm the study instructions and submission timeline before participation.
