Patent Attorney
Job Description
Create patent-law cases and evaluate how AI combines legal judgment with technical analysis. Assess prosecution choices, claim quality and the reasoning used to respond to prior art.
What you will do
• Write patent scenarios from prior-art review through claims and office-action responses.
• Develop reference answers explaining legal and technical decisions.
• Assess output for claim quality, legal soundness and accuracy.
• Flag drafting that would create prosecution problems despite sounding credible.
Required background
• Active state-bar admission and registration to practise before the USPTO.
• At least two years in patent prosecution or patent litigation.
• Strong claim-drafting, office-action and prior-art experience.
• Clear written English and at least 10 hours of weekly availability.
Preferred background
• An engineering or science degree.
• Experience across technical areas, PTAB proceedings or patent litigation.
Availability
• Remote and asynchronous; minimum 10 hours weekly.
Pay and engagement
$100 • $147/hr
All amounts are in USD. The rate, task scope and schedule are agreed before work begins.
