Paramedic
Job Description
Develop advanced-life-support cases and assess the clinical reasoning behind field interventions.
What you will do
• Create scenarios from dispatch through transfer of care.
• Explain interventions using cardiology, airway and pharmacology reasoning.
• Review protocol accuracy and flag treatment decisions that would endanger the patient.
Required background
• NRP certification and an active state paramedic license.
• At least two years of ALS field practice on a 911 service.
• Strong clinical command of cardiac care, airway interventions and medication decisions.
• Clear written English for explaining professional decisions and reasoning.
• Availability for at least 10 hours per week.
Preferred background
• FP-C or CCP-C credentials.
• Field-training, supervisory or EMS teaching experience.
• High-acuity urban or tactical EMS work.
Availability
• Remote and asynchronous, with at least 10 hours available weekly and no fixed daily hours.
Pay and engagement
$58–$84/hr
Amounts are in USD. The applicable rate or fee and work requirements are agreed before you begin.
