Job Description
Orthopaedic surgery demands a profound understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and precise surgical techniques. As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, your specialized knowledge will be vital in training AI to accurately interpret musculoskeletal conditions, guide surgical planning, and inform post-operative care, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and surgical safety.
Key Responsibilities
Create highly specialized training data covering the full spectrum of orthopaedic surgery, including trauma, sports medicine, joint replacement, spine, and pediatric orthopaedics.
Develop detailed explanations of surgical procedures, pre-operative planning, intra-operative considerations, and post-operative rehabilitation protocols.
Craft scenarios involving diagnostic imaging interpretation (X-ray, MRI, CT), physical exam findings, and differential diagnoses for musculoskeletal conditions.
Evaluate AI-generated diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and patient education materials related to orthopaedic health.
Provide expert feedback on AI's ability to differentiate between subtle musculoskeletal pathologies and to recommend appropriate surgical or non-surgical management based on current guidelines.
Review medical imaging (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) with precise clinical insights for AI model training, highlighting fractures, ligamentous injuries, and degenerative changes.
Ideal Qualifications
MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Active, unrestricted medical license (any US state).
Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience as an orthopaedic surgeon.
Expertise in interpreting complex musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostic tests.
Deep understanding of AO principles, current surgical techniques, and rehabilitation protocols.
Exceptional ability to articulate complex medical and surgical concepts clearly and accurately.
