Nondestructive Testing Specialist
Job Description
Interpret nondestructive-test evidence and assess whether flaws satisfy code-based acceptance criteria.
What you will do
• Review radiographs, ultrasonic/PAUT scans and magnetic-particle or penetrant indications.
• Apply weld acceptance criteria and explain disposition recommendations.
• Evaluate thermography or remote visual inspection where relevant.
• Prepare technical reports and resolve ambiguous findings with other reviewers.
• Use applicable ASME, API and AWS requirements to support conclusions.
Required background
• Ability to interpret inspection evidence objectively and document technically supported conclusions.
Preferred background
• Active ASNT or ISO 9712 Level II/III certification in relevant RT, UT/PAUT, MT or PT methods.
• At least eight years interpreting NDT data in oil/gas, petrochemical or power settings.
• Knowledge of ASME Sections V, VIII and XI; API 510/570/653 and 1104; and AWS D1.1.
• Strong code-based acceptance judgment and technical communication.
• Independent remote work and experience with thermography or RVI.
• US location is preferred, rather than a mandatory residence condition.
Availability
• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.
Pay and engagement
$74–$116/hr
