Job Description
The future of precision diagnostics lies in the synergy of human expertise and AI, particularly in pathology. Your specialized knowledge as an MD or PhD in pathology will be instrumental in reviewing complex histological slides and critically evaluating AI diagnostic outputs, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Rigorously review whole slide images (WSIs) with precise delineations of pathological features (e.g., tumor boundaries, inflammatory infiltrates, specific cell types).
Evaluate AI-generated diagnostic predictions on pathology slides, identifying concordance and discordance with expert opinion.
Provide detailed feedback on AI's performance in tasks such as cancer grading, disease staging, and biomarker detection.
Categorize and label various tissue types, cellular abnormalities, and disease patterns for AI training datasets.
Identify and correct errors in AI-generated reports, ensuring clinical accuracy and appropriate terminology.
Contribute to the development of robust ground truth datasets for machine learning in digital pathology.
Ideal Qualifications
MD or PhD in Pathology, with current board certification or equivalent expertise.
Minimum 3 years of experience in diagnostic surgical pathology, cytopathology, or molecular pathology.
Expert proficiency in interpreting histological slides and recognizing a wide range of disease entities.
Experience with digital pathology platforms and image analysis software (e.g., Aperio, Halo, QuPath).
Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills in complex diagnostic scenarios.
Familiarity with common pathology classification systems (e.g., WHO, AJCC staging).
