Mechanical Engineering Expert
Job Description
The future of AI in physical systems hinges on its ability to accurately model, predict, and optimize complex mechanical phenomena. As a Mechanical Engineering Expert, you'll be instrumental in bridging the gap between theoretical AI capabilities and real-world engineering applications, ensuring AI systems can design, analyze, and innovate with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate high-quality training data sets for AI models focusing on mechanical design principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
Evaluate AI-generated solutions for structural integrity, thermal performance, and kinematic accuracy, providing detailed feedback.
Formulate complex engineering problems in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and stress analysis for AI problem-solving.
Review AI outputs on CAD/CAE simulations (e.g., Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation) for correctness and engineering feasibility.
Validate AI-proposed designs against industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO) and best practices for mechanical components.
Contribute to the refinement of AI models by identifying common errors in their understanding of physical laws and engineering constraints.
Ideal Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
5• years of industry experience in product design, R&D, or manufacturing.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360) and FEA tools.
Deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with additive manufacturing principles and design for manufacturability (DFM).
