Mechanical Engineering Specialist
Job Description
Write mechanical-engineering problems and review AI solutions against real design and analysis practice.
What you will do
• Develop questions on thermodynamics, fluids, machine design, material selection, stress, heat transfer, dynamics, CAD/CAM and HVAC.
• Check technical responses against engineering principles and applicable practice, explaining errors precisely.
• Calibrate question difficulty and educational value with other engineering reviewers.
Required background
• An accredited bachelor’s qualification in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Practical experience in mechanical design, analysis or engineering practice.
• Strong analytical judgment and detailed written and verbal communication.
Preferred background
• Several years across applications such as aerospace, automotive, energy, HVAC or manufacturing.
• Work on engineering publications, standards or technology initiatives.
• PE licensure, an MS or PhD, or relevant certification.
• Familiarity with engineering applications of AI.
Availability
• Remote, asynchronous work with flexible working times.
Pay and engagement
$100/hr
