Machine Learning Research Scientist
Job Description
Write and solve research problems involving experiments, ablations, evaluation and model failures.
What you will do
• Construct realistic research cases drawn from practical ML work.
• Develop reference answers with transparent step-by-step reasoning.
• Identify subtle errors in experimental design, interpretation and model assessment.
Required background
• A master’s or doctorate in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related subject.
• At least 3 years of full-time ML research after the degree; postdoctoral work counts, doctoral-study years do not.
• Hands-on experiment design, ablations or model evaluation.
• Strong Python and a framework such as PyTorch or JAX, plus at least 10 hours of weekly availability.
• Practical ML research is required; deployment-only engineering, data engineering and annotation do not substitute for it.
Preferred background
• Publications at venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL or CVPR.
• Industry-lab or university-research-group experience.
• Clear written explanations of research results.
Location and eligibility
• Remote work; country restrictions are not stated.

• Remote asynchronous work, minimum 10 hours per week.
