Litigation Attorney
Job Description
Write and review litigation exercises covering procedure, strategy and persuasive argument. Explain why a response would succeed or fail in practice, including mistakes that polished legal language can conceal.
What you will do
• Create case scenarios involving pleadings, venue, joinder, discovery and dispositive motions.
• Develop reference arguments and assess case strategy, procedural choices and settlement reasoning.
• Review briefs and memoranda for factual accuracy, precedent and logical consistency.
• Define clear scoring criteria and provide corrections for ambiguous or difficult cases.
Required background
• For scenario authorship, a JD, active US bar admission and at least two years of litigation practice involving motions, discovery and procedural strategy.
• For simulated litigation assessment, an ABA-accredited JD and active US bar admission are required, along with current practice in litigation, corporate, real estate, bankruptcy or compliance law. An LLM alone or foreign-equivalent degree does not qualify for that work.
• Practitioner-response review is a separate US-based opportunity; the degree, licence and experience profile below is preferred for that work.
• Clear written explanations of legal judgments and constructive collaboration with reviewers.
Preferred background
• Trial leadership, complex commercial or federal litigation, appellate practice or a clerkship.
• Practitioner-response review favours an ABA-accredited US JD, an active US licence in good standing and three to 15 years of post-JD practice.
• Law-review editing, legal publication, teaching or prior legal-AI evaluation.
Location and eligibility
• US residence is required for practitioner-response review. Scenario authorship and simulated litigation assessment require US bar admission but have no stated residence restriction.
Availability
• Remote, part-time or asynchronous work. Scenario-authoring assignments require at least 10 hours per week.
Pay and engagement
