Job Description
Build language-analysis exercises that expose errors in syntax, meaning, sound patterns and the treatment of linguistic evidence.
What you will do
• Create problems in syntax, semantics, phonology and related areas.
• Write reference analyses with explicit arguments and supporting data.
• Assess model answers for correct analysis and careful use of evidence.
• Identify plausible-sounding accounts that misparse examples or name the wrong phenomenon.
Required background
• An advanced qualification in linguistics or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years in research, teaching or applied linguistics.
• Depth in a relevant specialism, such as syntax, semantics, phonology or sociolinguistics.
• Clear written English and at least 10 hours available per week.
Preferred background
• A PhD and peer-reviewed research.
• Computational or corpus-based methods.
• Fieldwork or documentation involving understudied languages.
Location and eligibility

Availability
• Asynchronous remote work, minimum 10 hours per week.
Pay and engagement
$53 • $105/hr
USD hourly compensation. The applicable rate and agreed work scope are confirmed before work begins.
