Legal Writing Reviewer
Job Description
Assess legal and technical writing for precision, tone and evidential support. This is an evaluation role: you compare written responses and explain why one is better reasoned, without representing a party or providing legal advice.
What you will do
• Compare responses for instruction-following, audience fit, clarity and appropriate qualification.
• Score written reasoning and provide specific supporting explanations.
• Identify authoritative-sounding claims that are overstated or unsupported.
• Record inaccuracies, ambiguity and inconsistencies in the review system.
Preferred background
• Native-level or equivalent written English.
• A qualifying law degree from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.
• Experience drafting briefs, motions, legal opinions, memoranda or regulatory submissions.
• Experience editing or supervising legal writing, with attention to the intended audience.
• Familiarity with document-review tools; AI evaluation or RLHF experience is useful.
Pay and engagement
$95 • $147/hr
All amounts are in USD. The rate, task scope and schedule are agreed before work begins.
