Job Description
Tax law is a constantly evolving and highly specialized domain where accuracy is paramount. Your deep expertise as a tax attorney or specialist will be critical in evaluating AI-generated tax advice and planning strategies, ensuring precision, compliance, and optimal financial outcomes for users.
Key Responsibilities
Rigorously evaluate AI-generated tax advice, planning strategies, and compliance recommendations for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to current tax law.
Assess AI's understanding of complex tax codes (e.g., IRC), Treasury Regulations, IRS guidance, and relevant case law.
Identify and correct any inaccuracies, outdated information, or potentially misleading advice in AI outputs across various tax areas (e.g., individual, corporate, international).
Provide detailed feedback on AI's ability to analyze hypothetical scenarios and apply appropriate tax treatment.
Contribute to the development of comprehensive legal knowledge bases and evaluation rubrics specific to tax law.
Review AI-generated tax document drafts, such as memoranda or summaries, for correctness and clarity.
Ideal Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with an LLM in Taxation preferred.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience practicing tax law (e.g., Big 4, law firm, corporate tax department).
Expert knowledge of federal and state income tax, and familiarity with other tax types (e.g., sales, property, international).
Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., CCH Intelliconnect, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills in interpreting complex tax statutes and regulations.
