Your expertise in Kazakh, particularly your understanding of its Cyrillic and Latin script transitions, will be pivotal in training AI models to navigate these complexities and communicate effectively in Central Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Create comprehensive Kazakh language datasets, reflecting both Cyrillic and Latin script usage.
Evaluate AI-generated Kazakh content for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural context.
Assess AI's ability to handle script conversions and transliteration challenges between Cyrillic and Latin.
Provide nuanced feedback on AI's understanding of Kazakh grammar, vocabulary, and Turkic linguistic features.
Evaluate text data for specific NLP tasks, including named entity recognition and part-of-speech tagging.
Contribute to the development of robust evaluation metrics for Kazakh NLP tasks.
Ideal Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Kazakh, with strong proficiency in both Cyrillic and Latin scripts.
Extensive experience in Kazakh content creation, translation, or linguistic analysis.
Deep understanding of Kazakh grammar, phonology, and sociolinguistic conventions.
Demonstrated awareness of the ongoing script transition and its implications for language use.
Prior experience in linguistic data evaluation or evaluation for machine learning is highly valued.
Familiarity with Turkic language family characteristics is a plus.
