Survey Design and Consumer Research Evaluation
Job Description
Translate research objectives into questions, sampling choices and evaluation criteria. Assess survey wording, quotas, measurement bias, respondent quality and interpretation, and explain when a proposed consumer, behavioral or experience study would produce unreliable answers.
Professional background
You need at least three professional years in survey-led research and substantive experience building or fielding questionnaires. Market/consumer insights, behavioral research, quantitative UX, survey methodology and polling/social research are relevant routes. Understand measurement error and bias, critique design choices rather than merely run a supplied instrument, and explain nuanced decisions in writing.
Experience with sampling, panels, screeners, quotas or fieldwork is especially valuable. Familiarity with tools such as QuestionPro, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer or Forsta/Decipher is helpful, not required. Senior research-management work and experience in research-intensive organizations, academic survey centers or polling institutions can strengthen your profile.
Working arrangements
This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.
Pay
$130/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin.
