In-House Preclinical Drug Discovery Evaluation
Job Description
Create and evaluate preclinical drug-discovery problems using hands-on in-house R&D experience. Explain experimental choices, evidence quality and development implications, with a specialized track for antibody-drug conjugates and bispecific or multispecific modalities.
Practice scope
Experience must be in a company developing its own therapeutic assets that reached clinical development. CRO/CDMO service-only, academic-only, QC-only, clinical-only, diagnostics-only and regulatory-writing-only experience do not qualify. The ADC/bispecific route additionally requires direct experience with those modalities.
Professional background
You must have performed substantive, nonadministrative preclinical work inside a company developing its own drug assets and advancing programs into the clinic. Relevant functions include discovery biology, medicinal chemistry, antibody/protein design, computation, translational or in-vivo science, PK/PD, toxicology and formulation/CMC. The broad route requires hands-on work with at least one therapeutic modality; the antibody-specialist route specifically requires ADC, bispecific or multispecific experience.
Five industry R&D years are preferred, with flexibility for depth. Lead optimization, IND-enabling work and experience in emerging or resource-constrained biotechnology companies are advantages. Service-only CRO/CDMO work, academic-only research, analytical/QC-only work, clinical-only development, diagnostics or writing-only roles do not meet the core profile. An initial planning estimate is approximately ten hours weekly, subject to the agreed brief.
Working arrangements
This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.
Pay
$65 • $105/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin.
