Job Description
Evaluate emergency call-taking and dispatch scenarios for safe prioritization, routing and communication. Explain the reasoning behind police, fire or ambulance decisions and assess whether a response follows the applicable operational protocols.
Professional background
Preferred contributors have direct emergency/public-safety dispatch or coordination experience. Bring practical judgment about competing requests, incident priorities, escalation and standard checklists, with calm communication across radio, telephone and digital channels. Accurate records should explain the incident, the actions taken and the decision behind them. Clear writing and dependable attention under pressure are central to the completed-task work.
Working arrangements
This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.
Pay
Fee agreed per accepted task. The amount and acceptance criteria will be confirmed before you accept the task or study. Time estimates are not a promised hourly rate.
