Information Security Analyst
Job Description
Create practical security-operations cases and judge whether AI advice would improve or weaken defenses.
What you will do
• Develop scenarios from alert triage through investigation, remediation and response.
• Write reference decisions with their investigative reasoning.
• Assess proposed actions for technical accuracy and operational consequences.
• Identify plausible-looking guidance that introduces security risk.
Required background
• At least 2 years in security operations, incident response or vulnerability management.
• Hands-on SIEM, EDR or vulnerability-scanning experience.
• Depth in detection engineering, threat hunting, GRC or a related area.
• Clear English explanations and at least 10 hours per week.
Preferred background
• Security+, CySA+, CISSP or GIAC credentials.
• SOC leadership or incident-command experience.
• Python or PowerShell automation.
Location and eligibility
• Remote work; country restrictions are not stated.
Availability
• Remote asynchronous work, minimum 10 hours per week.
Pay and engagement
$95 • $142/hr
USD hourly compensation. The applicable rate and agreed work scope are confirmed before work begins.
