The ability of AI to 'see' and understand the world visually relies entirely on rich, accurate descriptive data. As an Image Description Specialist, you will be the bridge between visual information and AI comprehension, crafting detailed and nuanced descriptions that enable models to interpret, categorize, and generate insights from images.
Key Responsibilities
Create highly detailed and accurate textual descriptions of images, focusing on objects, scenes, actions, attributes, and context.
Evaluate images with specific labels, bounding boxes, or segmentation masks as per project guidelines.
Identify and describe subtle visual cues, emotional tones, and cultural references present in images.
Evaluate AI-generated image captions and descriptions, providing corrections and improvements for accuracy and completeness.
Develop training data that covers a wide variety of image types, including photographs, illustrations, and technical diagrams.
Adhere strictly to linguistic and stylistic guidelines to ensure consistency across descriptions.
Ideal Qualifications
Exceptional descriptive writing skills and a keen eye for visual detail.
Proven experience in content creation, technical writing, or descriptive evaluation.
Strong understanding of visual composition, color theory, and object recognition.
Ability to interpret complex visual information and translate it into clear, concise language.
Familiarity with image analysis tools or platforms is a plus.
Comfortable working with diverse image content, including potentially sensitive material.
