Hospitalist Documentation Adjudicator
Job Description
Resolve discrepancies in inpatient documentation and explain their clinical significance.
What you will do
• Evaluate histories/physicals, progress notes and discharge summaries for accuracy, completeness and fidelity to the encounter.
• Adjudicate conflicting information and classify important errors or omissions by severity.
• Use consistent rubrics and write concise reasons for each decision.
• Refine review guidance and quality standards.
Required background
• Ability to adjudicate inpatient clinical records using consistent standards and supported medical reasoning.
Preferred background
• An MD/DO with internal• or family-medicine board certification.
• Either five or more years of attending-level hospitalist practice or evidence of leading a documentation-audit program.
• Inpatient-documentation and hospital-QA expertise.
• CDI experience and knowledge of coding, billing and compliance implications.
• Independent remote review capability.
Availability
• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.
Pay and engagement
$105–$158/hr
