Job Description
Create educational material that tests reasoning at high-school level. Write grading criteria, model responses and teaching explanations that show both what a student should understand and why common mistakes occur.
What you will do
• Write rubrics for essays, problem sets and multi-step reasoning exercises.
• Produce example student answers at different proficiency levels with structured feedback.
• Explain misconceptions, instructional scaffolding and teaching strategies in short research briefs.
• Develop guided inquiry, comprehension and problem-solving material.
• Evaluate AI output for reasoning, clarity, structure and educational quality.
Required background
• At least two years of high-school teaching, tutoring or curriculum-development experience.
• Strong knowledge of assessment standards, rubric design and high-school pedagogy.
• Experience evaluating student work and explaining the reasoning behind feedback.
• Interest in developing educational AI.
Preferred background
• AP/IB curriculum or standards-alignment experience.
• A degree in education, English, mathematics, science, history or a related subject.
• Instructional design, literacy development or debate/mathematics/writing competition coaching.
Availability
• Remote, part-time and asynchronous; approximately 10 hours weekly during active assignments.
Pay and engagement
From $42/hr
All amounts are in USD. The rate, task scope and schedule are agreed before work begins.
Advanced educational-authoring work may be priced above $126/hr. The appropriate rate is agreed for the brief; no maximum rate or assignment volume is promised.
