Job Description
The dynamic and often opaque world of hedge funds demands acute insight into alternative investments and sophisticated quantitative strategies. As a Hedge Fund Expert, you will be crucial in refining AI's ability to analyze complex market data, evaluate non-traditional assets, and understand advanced portfolio construction techniques, transforming it into an indispensable tool for alpha generation.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI-generated analyses of alternative investment strategies, including long/short equity, global macro, event-driven, and distressed debt.
Assess AI's comprehension of portfolio construction methodologies specific to hedge funds, including risk parity and factor-based investing.
Provide expert feedback on AI outputs related to quantitative strategies, such as statistical arbitrage, high-frequency trading, and machine learning in finance.
Identify and correct factual inaccuracies or strategic misinterpretations in AI's understanding of hedge fund operational due diligence and fee structures.
Refine AI's capacity to interpret complex market signals, volatility, and their impact on trading decisions.
Develop training data that covers the regulatory landscape for hedge funds (e.g., Dodd-Frank, AIFMD) and investor relations.
Ideal Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics).
Minimum 8 years of experience working directly for a hedge fund in a portfolio management, research, or quantitative analyst role.
Proven track record in developing and implementing alternative investment strategies or quantitative models.
Expertise in statistical analysis, econometrics, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
Deep understanding of derivatives, options, and complex financial instruments.
CFA Charterholder or CAIA designation is highly valued.
