Job Description
The study
IXO is conducting a paid remote research study about the financial decisions behind a health plan’s pharmacy benefit manager, or PBM. This particular study is for current chief financial officers and vice presidents of finance who participate formally in choosing the PBM. It is a single finance-leadership survey with one fixed payment.
What participation involves
Complete a structured online questionnaire about how your organization approaches PBM selection and contracting. Topics include pricing arrangements, rebates, pharmaceutical spending and specialty-pharmacy strategy. Explain the considerations behind decisions using your own professional perspective, while keeping confidential commercial details out of your responses.
The planning estimate is approximately 25 minutes. Participants complete the questionnaire independently and submit all required responses by the deadline provided for their study session. IXO will confirm the expected time, submission date, eligibility checks and completion criteria before participation.
Eligibility requirements
• Your current job title must be Chief Financial Officer or Vice President of Finance.
• You must work for a health insurer or health plan, a provider-sponsored plan owned by a health system, or a third-party administrator that makes its own PBM decisions.
• You must have formal decision authority: either the final decision on PBM selection or a seat on the committee responsible for selecting it.
• You must be based in the United States and able to complete the online study independently.
Pharmacy, clinical, medical, procurement, contracting and compliance titles do not qualify for this finance-leadership study. It also excludes PBM employees, benefits consultants and brokers, employers buying benefits for their own staff, and hospitals or health systems that do not operate their own health plan.
Payment
An eligible, complete submission that passes verification earns $220/study (one-time) USD. This is a fixed study payment rather than an hourly rate or a combined award across research modules. Applying does not itself guarantee admission or payment; IXO confirms the study requirements before you begin.
