Venture Capital Associate — AI Evaluation
Job Description
Create venture-investment exercises that test market assessment, founder judgment and early-stage financial reasoning.
What you will do
• Author deal-screening, TAM/SAM/SOM, competitor-analysis, founder-assessment and investment-committee exercises.
• Assess startups’ financials, product-market fit, market position and team effectiveness.
• Build and interpret projections, capitalization tables and scenarios for early-stage businesses.
• Review generated investment analysis for realistic venture judgment and sound market sizing.
• Help refine rubrics, cover missing sectors or stages and document defensible evaluation methods.
Preferred background
• Three to six or more years in venture capital or growth equity, or founder/operator experience with substantial deal evaluation.
• An MBA, finance master’s or equivalent advanced qualification; highly regarded programs are valued.
• Experience writing investment-committee memos and conducting diligence for investment-partner review.
• Strong market-sizing, founder-assessment and competitive-analysis skills when information is incomplete.
• Precise analytical writing, with experience across company stages or sectors helpful.
Pay and engagement
$48–$105/hour
