As a Film Scene Description Specialist, you will meticulously break down the visual language of film, translating complex cinematic techniques into structured data. Your work will directly train AI models to recognize, analyze, and eventually generate film scenes that are rich in cinematography, lighting, and narrative impact.
Key Responsibilities
Craft highly detailed, objective descriptions of film scenes, focusing on visual elements and their narrative function.
Analyze cinematography techniques, including camera angles, movement (e.g., dolly, crane, tracking), focal length, and shot composition.
Document lighting setups (e.g., high-key, low-key, three-point lighting), color grading, and their emotional or thematic implications.
Describe mise-en-scène elements such as set design, props, costumes, and actor blocking within the frame.
Identify and articulate the narrative purpose of specific visual choices, linking them to character development or plot progression.
Utilize domain-specific terminology (e.g., Dutch angle, deep focus, chiaroscuro) accurately in all evaluations.
Ideal Qualifications
Degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, Media Arts, or equivalent professional experience in film production/analysis.
Profound understanding of film theory, visual language, and cinematic techniques.
Exceptional descriptive writing skills with an ability to articulate visual nuances precisely.
Familiarity with various film genres, historical periods, and directorial styles.
Experience with film criticism, script analysis, or visual storytelling is highly beneficial.
