Senior Epidemiologist
Job Description
In an era where public health data is more critical than ever, your epidemiological expertise is essential to developing AI that can accurately analyze disease patterns and inform public health interventions. As a Senior Epidemiologist, you will guide AI in understanding complex methodologies, surveillance systems, and the nuances of population health.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI-generated analyses of epidemiological studies, including cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional designs.
Develop comprehensive training data on disease surveillance methodologies, outbreak investigation, and public health reporting.
Assess AI's capability to interpret statistical outputs (e.g., odds ratios, relative risks, confidence intervals) within an epidemiological context.
Provide expert feedback on AI's understanding of confounding, bias, and effect modification in observational studies.
Create scenarios for AI to analyze public health data, identify trends, and propose evidence-based interventions.
Refine AI outputs related to health policy, risk communication, and the social determinants of health.
Ideal Qualifications
Ph.D. or MPH in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.
5• years of experience in epidemiological research, public health practice, or academic settings.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis.
Demonstrated experience with disease surveillance systems and public health data sources (e.g., CDC, WHO data).
Strong understanding of causal inference, research design, and advanced statistical methods.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex epidemiological concepts clearly.
