Job Description
Accurate and efficient healthcare delivery hinges on robust Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Your specialized knowledge as an EMR/EHR Implementation Specialist will be instrumental in teaching AI to understand the intricacies of clinical workflows, data interoperability, and the practical challenges of EHR adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed training data scenarios reflecting common and complex EHR workflows, including patient registration, order entry, medication administration, and discharge planning.
Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy in interpreting clinical documentation, coding practices (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and billing processes within an EHR context.
Develop content that highlights best practices for EHR implementation, system optimization, and user training.
Provide expert insights on data migration challenges, interface development (e.g., HL7), and security protocols (e.g., HIPAA) related to EHRs.
Evaluate AI-generated responses regarding specific EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Meditech, ensuring technical and functional accuracy.
Design prompts and evaluation criteria for AI to assess the impact of EHR systems on clinical efficiency and patient safety.
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing Informatics, or a related field.
3• years of hands-on experience with EHR/EMR system implementation, optimization, or support.
Demonstrated expertise with major EHR platforms, particularly Epic (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Willow).
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare regulations, and data privacy standards.
Certifications such as Epic proficiency/certification, CPHIMS, or CAHIMS are highly desirable.
Excellent ability to articulate complex technical and clinical processes clearly for AI training.
