Business Intelligence Specialist
Job Description
Build dashboard and reporting cases that test analytical judgment. Explain whether a visualisation reflects the data accurately and supports the decision it is meant to inform.
What you will do
• Create scenarios from data modelling through dashboard development and rollout.
• Write reference answers explaining metric definitions and visual choices.
• Validate calculations and assess chart integrity.
• Identify polished dashboards that distort comparisons or mislead the reader.
Required background
• At least two years of professional BI or analytics work.
• Deep practical skill in Tableau, Power BI, Looker or a comparable BI platform.
• Strong SQL for building and validating dashboard datasets.
• Clear written English and at least 10 hours of availability weekly.
Preferred background
• Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft PL-300 or a comparable credential.
• LookML, dbt or other semantic-layer/data-modelling experience.
• Executive or stakeholder reporting.
Availability
• Remote and asynchronous; minimum 10 hours weekly.
Pay and engagement
$53 • $95/hr
All amounts are in USD. The rate, task scope and schedule are agreed before work begins.
