Your acute understanding of kerning, legibility, and aesthetic balance will be vital in refining AI-generated typefaces and layouts, ensuring they resonate with human design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Rigorously evaluate AI-generated typefaces and text layouts for optimal kerning, tracking, and leading.
Assess the legibility and readability of AI-created typographic compositions across various contexts and sizes.
Analyze the aesthetic quality, stylistic consistency, and appropriateness of AI-selected or generated fonts.
Identify common typographic errors such as rivers, widows, orphans, or poor hierarchy in AI outputs.
Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve AI's understanding of typographic principles and best practices.
Categorize and tag typographic samples based on style, mood, and intended application for training data.
Ideal Qualifications
5• years of professional experience as a typographer, graphic designer, or font designer.
Expert knowledge of typographic principles, including hierarchy, contrast, balance, and rhythm.
Proficiency in design software like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or font creation tools (e.g., Glyphs, FontLab).
Exceptional attention to detail and a critical eye for micro-typographic adjustments.
Familiarity with different type classifications (serif, sans-serif, script, display) and their historical contexts.
Ability to clearly articulate design feedback using standard typographic terminology.
