Computer Vision Engineer
Job Description
About this role
Computer vision sits at the intersection of deep learning, classical image processing, and real-time engineering — and AI assistants regularly confuse the three. As a Computer Vision Engineer for AI training, you will help AI generate vision code that uses the right tool at the right layer, from OpenCV preprocessing to transformer-based detection.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate and evaluate instruction-response pairs covering classification, detection, segmentation, and tracking.
• Review AI-generated CV code using PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and ONNX.
• Provide feedback on training pipelines, data augmentation, and label-quality issues.
• Validate AI handling of vision transformers, YOLO variants, and SAM-style models.
• Evaluate inference deployment (TensorRT, OpenVINO, CoreML, mobile NPUs).
• Identify subtle issues in coordinate systems, color spaces, and dataset bias.
Ideal Qualifications
• 5• years in computer vision research or production engineering.
• Deep familiarity with PyTorch and at least one production CV framework.
• Strong grasp of classical image processing and modern deep CV architectures.
• Experience deploying CV models on edge devices, GPUs, or in cloud.
• Comfort with COCO/YOLO/Pascal data formats and annotation tools.
• Familiarity with multimodal models (CLIP, SAM, BLIP) is a plus.
Project Timeline
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Ongoing
• Commitment: Flexible, 10-25 hours/week
Contract & Payment Terms
• Independent contractor agreement
• Remote work — anywhere in eligible locations
• Weekly payment via Stripe or bank transfer
• Flexible hours
