CAD Design Instructor
Job Description
Demonstrate expert assembly-design decisions and turn them into clear technical learning material.
What you will do
• Interpret requirements and design manufacturable multipart assemblies.
• Explain architecture, component placement, mating strategies, tolerances and design trade-offs.
• Create and annotate parametric models and document DFM reasoning.
• Critique sample designs and contribute instructional or mentoring explanations.
Required background
• Ability to create and explain advanced CAD design decisions clearly.
Preferred background
• Five or more years leading complex CAD assembly decisions.
• Mastery of a major parametric system such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape or Solid Edge; FreeCAD knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring, teaching or enabling other designers.
• Recognized credentials such as CSWE/CSWP, Autodesk Certified Instructor/Expert Elite, ASME GDTP or SOLIDWORKS Champion may substitute for a formal experience threshold.
• Strong written/verbal explanations, detail and remote collaboration.
Availability
• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.
Pay and engagement
$42–$95/hr
