Blender Asset & Scene Production Specialist
Job Description
Your work at IXO
Produce 3D assets and scenes for IXO while documenting the decisions and technical steps that make them usable. The work combines practical creation with troubleshooting across a Blender production workflow.
Responsibilities
• Build and deliver 3D assets within the assigned specifications.
• Document scene setup, workflow decisions and the path from source materials to the final asset.
• Apply your specialty in modeling, UVs, texturing, lighting, animation or procedural construction.
• Diagnose rendering defects, performance problems and other technical obstacles.
• Keep files organized so another contributor can inspect or continue the work.
Required experience and preparation
You need one to three years of professional experience in 3D design, modeling, animation or a related practice, with strong Blender skills. Bring depth in at least one relevant area: hard-surface or organic modeling, texturing and UV mapping, Cycles/Eevee lighting and rendering, animation or procedural workflows. A degree in digital arts, animation, game design or a related field is suitable; equivalent professional experience or a portfolio is also accepted.
Preferred experience
Clear workflow documentation and practical problem-solving across creative and technical constraints are valuable. You should be able to work independently and communicate changes asynchronously.
Deliverables and engagement
Deliverables include editable assets or scenes, workflow notes and resolved technical issues. The source work pattern is a two-to-three-week window at approximately 10–20 hours per week. IXO will confirm the particular assignment and availability before acceptance.
Pay is $45 • $55/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
