Biology Expert (PhD)
Job Description
Unlocking the secrets of life at its most fundamental level requires deep biological insight. As a Biology Expert with a PhD, you will be critical in developing advanced training data for AI, focusing on molecular biology, bioinformatics, and systems biology to unravel life's complex mechanisms.
Why This Role Matters
Your specialized PhD-level knowledge in cutting-edge biological fields is essential for training AI to interpret genomics data, model cellular processes, and understand complex biological networks. You'll empower AI to become a powerful tool for biomedical research, drug discovery, and personalized medicine.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed explanations and problem solutions for advanced molecular biology topics, including epigenetics, RNA interference, and CRISPR gene editing.
Create comprehensive training data on bioinformatics, covering sequence alignment, phylogenetic analysis, genomics, and proteomics data interpretation.
Formulate and elaborate on concepts in systems biology, such as gene regulatory networks, metabolic pathways, and cellular signaling cascades.
Evaluate AI-generated content on immunology, neurobiology, and developmental biology, ensuring scientific accuracy and mechanistic depth.
Design challenging problems that require a deep understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation in biological research.
Provide expert critique of AI's ability to synthesize information from scientific literature, propose hypotheses, and design virtual experiments.
Ideal Qualifications
PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, or a closely related life science field.
Specialized expertise in at least two of the following: genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, computational biology, or advanced cellular mechanisms.
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed biological journals is highly desirable.
Extensive experience with bioinformatics tools, statistical analysis of biological data, and programming (e.g., Python, R).
Exceptional ability to communicate complex biological concepts and research findings with precision.
Familiarity with large biological databases (e.g., NCBI, UniProt, ENSEMBL).
Project Timeline
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing, long-term research-oriented tasks
• Commitment: Flexible, project-based, estimated 15-30 hours/week.
