Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Specialist
Job Description
Develop molecular-life-science cases that test mechanisms, experimental logic and interpretation of evidence.
What you will do
• Create problems from assay design through analysis of results.
• Explain pathways, mechanisms and the evidence behind reference conclusions.
• Assess scientific accuracy and uncertainty, identifying plausible but incorrect biochemical explanations.
Required background
• An advanced qualification in biochemistry, molecular biology or a closely related field.
• At least two years of molecular-life-science research or industry work.
• Practical depth in cloning, protein methods, sequencing or assay development.
• Clear written English for explaining professional decisions and reasoning.
• Availability for at least 10 hours per week.
Preferred background
• A PhD and peer-reviewed publications.
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical research.
• Bioinformatics or structural-biology breadth.
Availability
• Remote and asynchronous, with at least 10 hours available weekly and no fixed daily hours.
Pay and engagement
$63–$126/hr
