Biochemistry Expert
Job Description
At the intersection of biology and chemistry lies biochemistry, the fundamental language of life. As a Biochemistry Expert, you will be instrumental in training AI to understand the intricate molecular processes that underpin all living systems, from protein folding to metabolic pathways.
Why This Role Matters
Your deep understanding of biomolecules, enzyme kinetics, and metabolic regulation is crucial for enabling AI to accurately interpret biological processes, predict molecular interactions, and contribute to fields like drug discovery and synthetic biology. You'll empower AI to become a powerful tool for understanding and manipulating life at the molecular level.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive training data for biomolecules, including protein structure and function, nucleic acid chemistry, carbohydrates, and lipids.
Create detailed explanations and problem solutions for enzyme kinetics, allosteric regulation, and enzyme mechanisms.
Formulate and elaborate on concepts in metabolic pathways, such as glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, and photosynthesis.
Evaluate AI-generated content on molecular genetics, signal transduction, and membrane biology, ensuring scientific accuracy and mechanistic detail.
Design challenging problems that require AI to predict the outcome of biochemical reactions or analyze experimental data from assays.
Provide expert feedback on AI's ability to explain disease mechanisms at the molecular level and propose therapeutic interventions.
Ideal Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a closely related field.
Comprehensive understanding across protein chemistry, enzymology, metabolic pathways, and molecular genetics.
Experience in biochemical research, protein purification, or assay development is highly desirable.
Ability to clearly articulate complex biochemical concepts and reaction mechanisms.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to scientific accuracy.
Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for protein analysis (e.g., BLAST, PDB) is a plus.
Project Timeline
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing, flexible project-based work
• Commitment: Estimated 10-20 hours/week, adaptable to your schedule.
