Aviation Maintenance Inspection Specialist
Job Description
Review aviation-maintenance evidence and evaluate the accuracy of technical and regulatory interpretations.
What you will do
• Analyze and annotate maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs and supporting documents.
• Review engine borescope findings and composite-structure inspections, identifying defects and corrective actions.
• Interpret approach plates and operational briefings.
• Check maintenance representations against FAA Parts 43, 121, 135 and 145 and document the reasoning.
Required background
• Aviation-maintenance inspection expertise and the ability to explain technical findings accurately.
Preferred background
• FAA A&P certification, Inspection Authorization or equivalent Part 145 inspector standing.
• At least eight years in aircraft maintenance, inspection and regulatory work.
• Borescope interpretation and fluency with manuals, IPCs and approach plates.
• Detailed working knowledge of FAA Parts 43, 121, 135 and 145.
• Precise written and verbal communication.
• Check-airman, training or mentoring experience.
• US location is preferred, rather than a mandatory residence condition.
Availability
• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.
Pay and engagement
$74–$137/hr
