The foundation of realistic AI voice and speech models lies in meticulously processed audio. As an Audio Engineer (Pro Tools), your expertise will be crucial in refining, cleaning, and standardizing vast audio datasets, ensuring AI receives the highest quality input for its most advanced auditory functions.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize Pro Tools extensively for advanced audio editing, noise reduction, equalization, and dynamic processing on raw voice recordings.
Perform meticulous audio cleanup, removing unwanted artifacts such as clicks, pops, hums, and background noise to achieve pristine quality.
Standardize audio levels (LUFS, RMS) and ensure consistent spectral balance across large datasets for optimal AI training.
Implement specific audio processing chains and effects as required by AI model specifications (e.g., de-essing, compression, gating).
Evaluate and provide expert feedback on the overall sonic characteristics of AI-generated audio, identifying areas for improvement.
Manage and organize large audio projects within Pro Tools, ensuring proper file management, session organization, and version control.
Ideal Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency in Pro Tools is mandatory, with a proven track record in audio post-production, mixing, or mastering.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an audio engineer or sound designer.
Deep understanding of acoustic principles, psychoacoustics, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Strong knowledge of audio signal processing techniques, plugins, and industry-standard codecs.
Experience with batch processing and automation workflows for large audio libraries.
Exceptional ear for detail, critical listening skills, and ability to identify subtle audio imperfections.
