Job Description
The future of AI hinges on its ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes responsibly. As an Environmental Law Expert, you will play a crucial role in shaping AI's understanding of ecological governance, ensuring its applications align with global sustainability goals and legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI-generated legal analyses and policy recommendations related to environmental protection acts (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
Assess AI's comprehension of EPA regulations, permitting processes, and enforcement mechanisms.
Provide expert feedback on AI outputs concerning international environmental agreements and treaties (e.g., Paris Agreement, CITES).
Develop training data that elucidates nuances in sustainability law, corporate environmental responsibility, and ESG reporting requirements.
Identify and correct factual inaccuracies or misinterpretations in AI responses regarding environmental compliance and litigation.
Refine AI's ability to differentiate between federal, state, and local environmental statutes and their jurisdictional implications.
Ideal Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience practicing environmental law, either in-house, government, or private practice.
Deep familiarity with U.S. EPA regulations, NEPA, RCRA, CERCLA, and state-specific environmental codes.
Proven experience with environmental impact assessments or sustainability consulting.
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Proficiency in legal research platforms like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
